David Sabatini - Assistant State's Attorney/prosecutor
In the second trial he told the jury that Jack Moretti was charged,
prosecuted &  given the max for his crimes.  Also, he said that the state
did not make any deals with Moretti.
Jack Moretti was ONLY charged with possession of cocaine & marijuana
with intent to sell & concealment of a homicide.  He was never charged
for possessing guns without a FOID card, having bomb making
materials including explosives, wire & mercury (keep in mind this was
2/02, only 5 months after 9/11/01) or for the check fraud he was
originally brought in for.   Moretti got 5 years for the concealment & 5
years for drug possession served concurrently.  He was out in less than a
year.  Does that sound like the MAX to you?  Judge Panici ordered the
state to read a stipulation correcting Sabatini's statement when he was
made aware by the defense attorneys that it was perjury
.
Sabatini told the jury that TJ was hiding behind the flag & his military
service was a long time ago.  It doesn't matter now.
I don't care who they are & what they did, (as long as it wasn't treason),
it DOES MATTER!   Nothing will negate what TJ did for the country
he loves, for the freedoms he fought for.  NOTHING!  His service &
everyone else's service ALWAYS MATTERS!  Mr. Sabatini owes every
man or woman who ever served for this country an apology!
Obviously he never served in the military & it doesn't matter to him
that our men and woman are fighting for his freedom.  If he can blow
off one man's service as meaningless, he'll do it to others just as
heartlessly!

Ted Lagerwall - prosecutor
In the first trial he said that Jack got NO consideration or leniency.
In the second trial  he also told the jury that Jack Moretti was charged,
prosecuted &  given the max for his crimes.  He too said that the state
did not make any deals with Moretti.
He gets the same explanation as Sabatini.

Shawn Concannon - prosecutor
She did not correct testimony known to be perjured.
No explanation needed for that one.

Arlene Bravo - Mother of Stacey Bravo
In the 1st. trial she testified that she was worried about Stacey when she
didn't show up for a family wedding so she contacted all of Stacey's
family & friends.  When no one saw her Arlene went to the Calumet
Park police & filed a report, approximately 10 days after Stacey went
missing.
In the 2nd trial she testified that the first day after Stacey didn't come
home she called all of her family & Stacey's friends looking for her.
When no one knew where she was Arlene went to the Calumet Park
police to file a report, but
they refused almost daily until
approximately 10 days after Stacey went missing.

John Bravo Jr. - Brother of Stacey Bravo
Testified that his sister was happy & fun when she was on cocaine.

Hope Bravo - ex-wife of John Bravo Jr.
She testified that  a few days after Stacey went missing she was at work
& saw Stacey's car drive down Western Ave. & thought it was strange
because Stacey should have been at work.  TJ came in to Walnut where
Hope worked right after she saw Stacey's car go by.  She assumed it was
TJ driving Stacey's car. When TJ came into the bar he was agitated &
yelling "where's Stacey?"  So she said to him "what did you do to her?"
Then TJ came up to her & put his hand on the back of her head &
pulled it forward then kissed her on the forehead after he repeatedly said
"I'm sorry".  She said she had to brace herself on the bar because she
thought he was going to slam her head into the bar...but he kissed her
on the forehead instead.  After TJ left she called Arlene Bravo & told
her to keep Stacey away from TJ.
In the first trial she didn't see TJ drive away.  She saw Jack drive by her
house & she stated that she didn't know Jack.
In the second trial she saw TJ drive away, she never saw Jack driving
Stacey's car & she didn't know Jack.
Why would Hope think Stacey was at work if Arlene Bravo had called
everyone looking for her?  For that matter why would she call Arlene &
tell her to keep Stacey away from TJ if she knew Stacey was missing.
Because Arlene Bravo didn't call anyone until after the wedding like she
testified in the first trial!
Why, if Hope felt so threatened by TJ, didn't she call the police?  She
chose to call Arlene Bravo instead.  And if she didn't know Jack, why
did she tell Chief Hoglund that Jack was a "wimp" & wouldn't hurt
anyone, in the waiting room during the first trial?
